A quick post — today’s update of the Euromomo excess deaths for European countries has just arrived. I note the sudden increase in deaths for those aged 0 to 14 beyond the normal range at the far right hand side of the graph: The graph shows excess deaths as a ‘statistical difference from normal’ since the start of 2020 (ie, since the arrival of covid). It would be nice to have absolute numbers as well (I’m sure they’re low), but this statistical indication is enough for now. Don’t worry about the yellow shaded area at the end — for this region the data isn’t complete and it nearly always plunges lower like this.
